Most ordinary people doesn't know the importance of documents after purchasing or being fully paid of their chattel mortgage from the motorcycle dealer / company. I've talk to some people here in our place who owned a motorcycle vehicle where most of them already paid their motorcycle but they do not have the original documents on them and they just took it for granted until they get advice from other people who knew or have the knowledge about vehicle documents. Even buying second hand unit or vehicle from a friend, relatives or from other people we need to know and request all the important documents to avoid risk because a lot of bad people / criminals taking advantage to other people especially if they knew that their buyer have less knowledge on the document part.
I am one of those people who have no knowledge or should I say less knowledge with it comes to important documents a vehicle owner should have. These following documents should be in your hands, or in you drawers, safety place in your house and should be keep safe for security purposes of your property.

Those are the three (3) most important documents you should claim from the motorcycle distributor if you already paid the full amount of the chattel mortgage for you to claim that the motorcycle is yours and no other individual will claim that they owned your vehicle because you doesn't have the proof of your ownership.
Do not forget to check / review all the field and information written in the documents like your Name Spelling, Chassis and Engine Number of the CR is similar to the vehicle and of course the latest and not expired OR.
Note:
Most of motorcycle distributors here in the country (Philippines) can not release or give to their customers those important documents including the plate number of the vehicle so it is up to you to always check / follow up about your documents if you want to get those important documents. The more you monitor and follow up to them the faster the processing and release of your papers. Most of personnel are lazy if the customer will not insert effort to follow up at their office and that's one of the reason why some owners doesn't have the original documents on them because they did not monitor the supplier / company. So, better do some hard work if you want security and peace of mind, confident that no one will ever claim your property (Vehicle).
